Little Press Release

July 9th, 2010

I heart Little Elk.  Mimi wears her gumboots everyday.  I don’t really know what she looks like without them on her feet.  Not too long ago I had the pleasure of popping a little press release together for Sally.  With the help of Jen from The Letterbug, we have whispers that Little Elk shall soon be appearing in a few magazines – Yipee!  Look out for it.  I also designed a sticker for teh inside of every pair of boots.  Who said that a compulsory info sticker had to be boring?

I also hear whipsers that fab new products will be coming to Little Elk.  I’ll keep you posted.

Simply splendid

July 5th, 2010

I love seeing all the pieces of a new business come together.  And so, I have great joy in showing off some work I have done for Grainne and Tania at Splendid Days over the past few months.  For starters I was lucky enough to be the Photographic Assistant and Assistant Stylist on their gorgeous photo shoot with Pru from Little Bird.

Lots of images from our shoot can now be seen at the new Splendid Days website

There are a few other pieces I will share in the coming days.  First I need to figure out what I can celebrate that will require a marquee…

Open and shut!

July 3rd, 2010

Every now and then I get asked to work on a project that gets me thinking.  Tastar Auto Doors was one of those.  We totally take for granted that the automatic doors we walk through every day need installing and maintaining and it takes professionals like Craig and Sharon to do that.  I loved this project as I had to think of ways to convey the everyday automatic door simply.  Here’s what we came up with …(See a T for Tastar and a depiction of the top of two doors coming together).

Tastar Auto Doors is the first and only auto door business to be based in Tasmania.  So if you have a door in Tassy, you probably need Tastar.

(Hello Tassy)

Ohh la la!

June 29th, 2010

Oh how I love to design for The Cupcake Wrapper Co. Not just because Kath and Nat have lovely ideas, great passion and a warm sense of fun but because the end result is always so irresistibly sweet.  Their new Paris wrappers are no exception!  Oh La La indeed!

Now, how to work them into my next party…

A true style file

June 25th, 2010

I have been very lucky lately to work with some very talented and creative people.  Tobi of Threads inc. is no exception.  She’s given up her day job and started a wonderful business helping people find confidence in their wardrobes and themselves.  If you need a lift in the closet department, then Tobi is your girl.  She’s all about creating a wardrobe that suits your body shape, your lifestyle and your budget. She works with pieces you already own and mixes it up with everyday must haves that will ensure you feel good from the inside out.

Tobi will also be reviewing style on the streets and showing you how everyday people are wearing it well.  No more hating your wardrobe – Hoorah!

We heart We Heart Books

June 24th, 2010

I met Katie and Lou from We Heart Books some time ago at Magnolia Square.  We were stationed next to each other in the middle of a quiet wintery market.  It was so cold and so quiet that the time could have passed by so slowly.  Well, that could have been the case but at this particular market I was too busy getting to know the girls and buying all their books!  Utterly delightful are they both and their books are nothing short of wonderful.  Lucky for me I got to design a web button and ad to go with all this wonderfulness.  Thanks girls!

Little Signs

June 23rd, 2010

You know how I love Little Bird?  Well, my heart just grew a little bigger for her now that she owns the most adorable little gallery in town.  I was lucky enough to design all of the signage and it came together so, so nicely.  What simple joys my job brings.

Small space = Clear message

June 18th, 2010

Prams in the Park.  We have a love/hate relationship.  I hate getting up at 5.40am to attend.  I love exercising outside.  I hate the pain during the session.  I love the feeling when it ends.  I hate the feeling a day later (ouch!).  I love your new ads…
