Lucky 7 Birthday Party

So, this year I thought I would make it easy on myself and host Max’s 7th birthday party away from the home.  Easy? Hmm.  Max chose Luna Park as the venue.  I kept the invitation pretty straight forward but followed it up with a ‘Fun Survival Kit’ which included details of what to expect on the day, a list of rides we could experience and a bright red Tshirt for the guests to wear on the day.  At first I thought, ‘Are the kids really going to want to wear a Team Max Tshirt? Will they ever wear it again?’.

I decided to press ahead anyway and designed a Tshirt for all the boys and adults to wear on the day.  My reasoning was simple – Don’t let anyone get lost!  It worked.  The Tees helped us stand out from the crowd.  The kids were easy to spot.  The adults were easy to spot and my doubts about the stigma of wearing them was unwarranted.  The boys LOVED wearing team colours and I am told most have refused to take them off since.

A fab day had by all.
