That was then…

Not too long ago I had the pleasure of creating this little media kit for lovely Erin at Prior Engagement. We wanted to attract some attention to Erin’s wonderful website and her equally wonderful products. To do this we created a little teaser that went to all the major wedding magazines and blogs. It was a little gift box containing sugared almonds and an intriguing note saying ‘That was then…’. A couple of days later recipients were emailed a press release from Erin with the title ‘…This is now.’ It was a great way of introducing the idea that a lot has changed in the world of weddings and guests no longer expect the same old sugared almonds like they used to.
Written by Jenny at The Letterbug, we received great feedback from people and are hoping to see some editorial in magazines and online soon.

Happy New Year! Boy, how fast did that go? I’m back in the office and ready for a big year. Starting with a mountain of projects to blog about!
Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of working with Carla from Habitat Baby and Jenny from The Letterbug on this very cute media kit. We LOVE little birds here at G&L headquarters.

Healed press kit

I recently developed a lovely little PR campaign for Anna at Healed. Anna is a podiatrist who has developed a great range of products designed to ‘heal’ your feet. We developed a campaign that consisted of a teaser pack to Editors. A white box was sent full of dry leaves and little box with a note saying ‘I am healed’. Inside the little box were product sachets wrapped in a lush green leaf. This teaser was followed up with a press release written by the talented Letterbug.
We developed three different releases for different targets and a whole range of reseller kits to compliment the campaign.
Let’s hope we get some love and attention!

Prams in the park press release

A little project for lovely Martine at Prams in the Park (although I don’t think she is too lovely when she is putting me through pain every Thursday!). Together with Jen at The Letterbug, we put developed a press kit with details of Martine’s newest offering – A babysitter! Now there really is NO excuse not to exercise in the park. So much better than a stinky old gym with mirrors and having to worry about a place at the creche.
Ah, fresh air, gorgeous surroundings, happy kids…pain, suffering…but it’s all worth it when I can carry most of the shopping into the house in one go…muscles!

Estelle Michaelides press kit

Everyone who knows me knows I love a ‘campaign’. I love lots of bits that go together. So the Estelle Michaelides PR campaign is one I adore! We’ve just sent to print the latest follow-up to our ‘I love Paris’ campaign sent out earlier in the year and here it is.
If you need a gorgeous headpiece for the Spring Racing Carnival, look no further. Estelle’s work is to die for.

Paperklip Design press kit

I often get asked to put together media kits. It’s so much fun trying to think of clever ways to cut through the mountains of ’stuff’ Editors get every day. Recently I put together a kit for gorgeous Mel of Paperklip Design.
At Magnolia Square in Sydney we were lucky enough to meet Editors at a special media event and so Mel needed something to hand out to those she met. In keeping with her brand and products, we printed her releases on the back of beautiful papers, slipped them into cellophane bags along with a sample of one of Mel’s lovely creations and sealed it with a Paperklip sticker. So simple and so effective. Mel has been popping up online and in print all over the place!
Look out for her in the next My Child magazine. It’s BIG!

connect2mums press kit

This week I completed a project for wonderful Paula at connect2mums. It started with a little kit for potential advertisers, to encourage them to buy an ad on connect2mums and we reworked it slightly to create a version for the media in hope of some exposure.
We start with a little teaser about mums and the time they spend on domestic duties and work (something to leave in front of your husbands!) and then we followed up with a piece about connect2mums.
Fingers crossed they both work!
