Do you have a budding Master Chef?
September 28th, 2010
Kids Pantry is coming soon to Canberra! A gorgeous cooking and kitchen garden venue offering party and school holiday programs for children aged between three and 15 years. It’s all about discovering the beauty of fresh, seasonal produce and the joy of getting your hands dirty. Lucky for me, Amanda, Kersten and Theresa selected Gigi & Lulu to design their logo. (Shhh, don’t tell them that I am a hopeless cook).
I couldn’t have had more fun. Thanks girls!

Infused with fun
September 2nd, 2010
I have been so busy that my list of blog posts are growing by the minute! So, I am going to do some fast and furious posting. First up, a really fun logo for lovely Sylvia at Infuse. She was after something fresh with a retro edge. I enjoyed every minute of stepping back in time.

Introducing P for Printables
August 10th, 2010
You all know how I love a party, love to decorate, love stationery and love to design. Well, I recently combined all my loves into a new business, P for Printables. A little side project to Gigi & Lulu (my number one focus). It is another outlet for my creative side and an opportunity to share my ideas with the world. P for Printables is a little online shop where vistors can buy printable artworks and paper goods that they download, print and create.
It needed a new logo, a website and a blog. Take a peek.

Ava’s Tea Party
July 26th, 2010
Every now and then something special appears in my inbox. Last week it was a little idea by Siobhan and Vanessa at Details, Details!
It began with the story of Ava Rosemeyer. A little girl who tragically passed away at the age of three. Just like most little girls Ava loved tea parties. So every August a tea party is held in her honour. Given that Siobhan and Vanessa love a party, they developed the idea of The Beauty Full Collection. Limited edition printable tea party invitations by nine Australian designers. ‘An invitation from the Beauty Full collection provides an opportunity to bring people together and celebrate life.’
I was honoured to be part of the project. I also had the great pleasure to design the logo and accompanying material for The Beauty Full Collection.
To hear more about Ava’s story, visit Ava’s mum Sheye Rosemeyer’s blog.
For details of how you can purchase these special little invitations, visit Details, Details!
Now, get off the computer and go make a memory with your loved ones.

Buttons and trims…
July 15th, 2010
I love designing for nice people. So I am lucky that all my clients are nice, including Greg from Premier Centre. What a lovely man. He is in the fashion business selling all kinds of gorgeous trims, buttons, accessories and fun things to fashion designers around the country. I gave his business a fresh new look…

Open and shut!
July 3rd, 2010
Every now and then I get asked to work on a project that gets me thinking. Tastar Auto Doors was one of those. We totally take for granted that the automatic doors we walk through every day need installing and maintaining and it takes professionals like Craig and Sharon to do that. I loved this project as I had to think of ways to convey the everyday automatic door simply. Here’s what we came up with …(See a T for Tastar and a depiction of the top of two doors coming together).
Tastar Auto Doors is the first and only auto door business to be based in Tasmania. So if you have a door in Tassy, you probably need Tastar.

A true style file
June 25th, 2010
I have been very lucky lately to work with some very talented and creative people. Tobi of Threads inc. is no exception. She’s given up her day job and started a wonderful business helping people find confidence in their wardrobes and themselves. If you need a lift in the closet department, then Tobi is your girl. She’s all about creating a wardrobe that suits your body shape, your lifestyle and your budget. She works with pieces you already own and mixes it up with everyday must haves that will ensure you feel good from the inside out.
Tobi will also be reviewing style on the streets and showing you how everyday people are wearing it well. No more hating your wardrobe – Hoorah!

A little makeover
May 28th, 2010
I’ve been working a lately with two great girls, Nicole and Ilana from Belly Art. My first project with them was to give their logo a little makeover. We didn’t want to take their brand too far away from where it was as it is a well known and much loved name. And, voila, the before and after…

Be natural…
March 15th, 2010
I recently put together a range of collateral and signage for SP Salon in Malvern but before that, came a logo and a blog space. Suzanne and the girls have a great all natural philosophy and the salon is super cute. Will preview more delights for SP salon soon. In the meantime, if you are in need of a great haircut and colour, call Suzanne.

Simply splendid!
February 22nd, 2010
It doesn’t get any better than a lovely business name and equally as lovely clients. I am having a wonderful time developing a brand and collateral for Splendid Days (told you it was nice). Grainne and Tania have developed this luxury marquee company and I am sure many descerning brides and entertaining corporates in Sydney will be choosing Splendid Days for their big days. Love it!

Hello Tippy Toes
February 16th, 2010
I recently had the pleasure of working with Alana from Tippy Toe Milestones. Together we developed a logo and website that captures that heart of her new business. I developed a little elephant and called her Tippy Toes. She’s the new face of this lovely little brand.
Big thanks to Emma at Morris Bear Designs for putting the website together – You’re so quick!

Little leap
February 14th, 2010
I feel so lucky to do what I do. I truly enjoy every project I work on and this one is no exception. When I met Sally and heard her brief I got little butterflies in my tummy. So it is with great pleasure that I introduce a new business called Little Elk. Over the next few weeks you’ll see Little Elk come to life and, I can tell you is, you’ll be jumping in puddles when you see how cute these products are.
Here is the logo.
