My dad doesn’t get it…
March 10th, 2010
A little love job for my one-of-a-kind mum. She’s known to be a bit ‘out there’ and has a way of predicting fashion trends before the trendsetters. Her house is ever-changing and always full of great finds. She believes that ‘things are meant to be and she’s meant to have them’. Her latest addition to her house is a feature wall that I helped her with. To my dad’s dismay (he doesn’t get it but he grins and bares it for total peace – happy wife happy life, right?) my mum asked me to design a tree silhouette for her lounge. The ultimate aim was to disguise the new ugly air conditioner that my dad had installed. So here it is! I love it. My mum loves it. My dad ignores it. He figures it’s just another fad and mum will change it in a year or two. He’s probably right.

That was then…
March 5th, 2010
Not too long ago I had the pleasure of creating this little media kit for lovely Erin at Prior Engagement. We wanted to attract some attention to Erin’s wonderful website and her equally wonderful products. To do this we created a little teaser that went to all the major wedding magazines and blogs. It was a little gift box containing sugared almonds and an intriguing note saying ‘That was then…’. A couple of days later recipients were emailed a press release from Erin with the title ‘…This is now.’ It was a great way of introducing the idea that a lot has changed in the world of weddings and guests no longer expect the same old sugared almonds like they used to.
Written by Jenny at The Letterbug, we received great feedback from people and are hoping to see some editorial in magazines and online soon.

The Baby Show
March 3rd, 2010
It’s been a while since I had a baby in my house but I remember how much I loved going to The Baby Show and seeing all the new and amazing products on offer. This weekend wonderful Carla from Habitat Baby will be showing her gorgeous products and I got the opportunity to whip up an ad for the show’s magazine.
If you have a quiet weekend planned, a baby on the way or have never been to this show, GO and say ‘Hi’ to Carla.

Are you a gigglepot?
February 23rd, 2010
It’s been a long time in the making but I am happy to announce that Gigglepot Kids has gone live! I love working with Michelle Engel, especially on this project. It is so nice to watch an eBay business evolve into a ‘real’ online store. Like a flower in bloom.
Now if you want toys that are hard to find, check out Gigglepot Kids.

Simply splendid!
February 22nd, 2010
It doesn’t get any better than a lovely business name and equally as lovely clients. I am having a wonderful time developing a brand and collateral for Splendid Days (told you it was nice). Grainne and Tania have developed this luxury marquee company and I am sure many descerning brides and entertaining corporates in Sydney will be choosing Splendid Days for their big days. Love it!

Hello Tippy Toes
February 16th, 2010
I recently had the pleasure of working with Alana from Tippy Toe Milestones. Together we developed a logo and website that captures that heart of her new business. I developed a little elephant and called her Tippy Toes. She’s the new face of this lovely little brand.
Big thanks to Emma at Morris Bear Designs for putting the website together – You’re so quick!

Little leap
February 14th, 2010
I feel so lucky to do what I do. I truly enjoy every project I work on and this one is no exception. When I met Sally and heard her brief I got little butterflies in my tummy. So it is with great pleasure that I introduce a new business called Little Elk. Over the next few weeks you’ll see Little Elk come to life and, I can tell you is, you’ll be jumping in puddles when you see how cute these products are.
Here is the logo.

Another wonderful opportunity to design a fun and simple logo. This time for lovely Christine at CU Art Photography. I just love the colours. That yellow always makes me smile.
